After the winter here in the Netherlands we feel spring approaching. There are some warmer sunny days, spring lambs, tweeting birds, trees turning green and rising temperatures, in other words… a time of new life.
It is the time to shed our winter clothes, to dig our gardens, to do a spring clean in our homes. It’s a new beginning.
In Nicaragua there is no spring time due to its location near the equator with its constant tropical temperatures. Yet also there a new ‘spring‘ has started; in Juigalpa to be precise.
A new ‘seed’, a new community, is growing there, a community home for people with an intellectual disability. It offers them a safe place where they will be able to grow. For them also, it is a new beginning.
