Of course we could not ignore the birthdays of several members and assistants of the Board of the Fundación in September.
In honour of Eva, Ana Alicia, Marileth, Luzmilda and Daniel, we got together on 20 September for a cosy celebration (see picture). Almost everyone was there! We didn’t only eat, but also enjoyed ourselves with the internationally known game of ‘Ezeltje Prik’: blindfolded, the person has to pin the donkey’s tail in its correct position. Raymondo, a participant in the activities club joined us, and enjoyed trying it (see picture).
After that our German volunteer Judith taught us the card game Uno, which she had given us as a present. A game with a Spanish name, but not known in Nicaragua (see picture).
The time just flew. A good sign. Hopefully we keep it up to organize these sorts of informal celebrations and events which promote our sense of community and belonging!
